Our CrossFit workouts are designed to provide the ultimate training experience. We combine components from sports such as Olympic weightlifting, gymnastics and athletics to deliver strength and conditioning sessions that will truly test your limits.
The first half of each REPS CrossFit session is devoted to 'Strength and Skills'. This involves working on all of the movements required to develop your technical abilities as a CrossFitter.
The Olympic lifts - Snatch and Clean & Jerk and all of their derivatives - as well as Powerlifts - Back Squat, Bench Press & Deadlift - all feature in the strength phase of the session.
Gymnastic movements such as single legged squats, box jumps, double unders, pull ups, toes to bar, handstand walks, push up and holds, ring movements such as push ups, dips and muscle ups are developed during the skills phase.
The emphasis in the second half of the class is on metabolic conditioning - commonly know in CrossFit as the WOD. This is where we take one or more exercises we've practiced in the 'Strength & Skills' phase to design a high intensity cardio workout performed at maximum capacity.
Our WODs can be performed by everyone from beginner level through to elite. Novice CrossFitters simply scale down the technical difficulty of movements, load and intensity level carried out in the WOD. As your technical proficiency with the CrossFit movements improve over time, so too will the degree of difficulty of each WOD you perform, which ultimately leads to a greater level of fitness.
